My Blog-erffic Classroom!

I went to my new school yesterday to set up for summer school. The classroom was completely empty! I mean, it didn't even have tables and chairs! The teacher that was in the room this past year moved rooms and took everything. This was the 2nd classroom I've set up. My first classroom (you can see pictures here) was filled to the BRIM with materials and supplies as the teacher before me took nothing out! I've decided that it's definitely a lot easier to set up a completely empty room!

Anyway, here are some pictures of my summer school room. Almost everything in my room is from blogging! haha!
 Thanks to The Teacher Wife for those adorable vowel glue bottles!
Mrs. Lochridge saved my life with those picture direction icons!
and we're going to practice singing the money songs that Jodi shared!
 I won this adorable calendar set from First Grade Fanatics and can't get over how cute it is! I adapted it so I can use it for summer school but I can't wait to set it up for my class next year!
 My very clean desk thanks to my Table Top Organizer ;)
{and technically because school hasn't started yet...but that's beside the point!}
 I love these days of the week tubs!! They are in the Target dollar spot right now!! Hurry, get off blogger and go get them before they're gone!!!!
 I had to beg to have this horseshoe table put in my room! Notice how it has no chairs! And my favorite teaching easel that I got at Lakeshore :)

The shelves that I filled up rather quickly! With lots and lots and lots of great math and literacy activities I found on blogger! Notice the Race to the Beach game thanks to Angelia and the Bowling Subtraction that is just the coolest idea from Shannon!

Well, thanks guys! I could not have done it without you!!

P.S. Today is the last day to enter the Kindergarten Assessment Packs giveaway!

  1. I agree. I'd much rather start with a blank slate classroom then step into a "Clutter Catastrophe". Love your organization. I spot the Target pocket charts on your board. Do they have those again this year? Love Lakeshore too. I'm having a Lakeshore giveaway FYI.

  6. Your room looks wonderful! Your summer school students are lucky to have you! There is nothing worse than sending your baby to summer school and the teacher has the room looking so uninviting!
    Enjoy your new school!

  13. I bought the filing bins at Target today. There are 5 different colors and I was able to get the last ones!! They're $2.50 each. I bought the square supply bins as well. The dollar spot at Target is amazing!

  15. Do you have the file for the H brothers!? I had them YEARS ago... but they were lost in a move to my school. SO SAD--I still refer to the H brothers in class, but the graphics are so much better!!
