Do You Use Sticky Notes?

Hi, I'm Hadar, and I'm addicted to Sticky Notes.
{Similar to my addiction to fonts haha!}

I love writing myself lists. I have been known to write the same list 3 times in 3 different places. I also used to have 3 calendars until I went to see "someone" about anxiety and was instructed to get rid of 2 calendars ;) Anyway, I learned about sticky notes a few months ago and it has changed my life! Image having your lists in constant view, never losing a note, keeping your desk clean and organizing your lists all at the same time! Amazing!
Sticky Notes let's you save post-its right on your desktop! You can change the color of your post-its to organize them. You can change the size of your post-its so everything fits clearly. You can also use bullet points and cross things out when you've done them!!! Click {here} to learn how.
{Clearly, I did not meet any of my Winter Break goals!}
This feature is available for Windows 7 or higher. Not sure if it's availbe on a Mac. {Ladybug? Lemons? I would ask Erica but she's pretending like she's not tech-savvy ;)}

  9. I love them too! I am addicted to real post-its and when I saw them on my computer I couldn't believe it! Love it:)

  10. Oh I am in LOVE! At school, I put actual sticky notes on my computer screen to remind me of things I need to do before I leave. You know, because they would get lost if I just put them on my desk. Now I don't have to look like the crazy post-it lady. Instead, people will be jealous of my mad tech-organizational skillz. Love, love, LOVE!!!

  12. I love Sticky Notes too!!!! Right now I'm keeping track of the classes I still need for my ESL endorsement and the Math programs that I want my principal to get samples of for next year!

    And Holly made me laugh because I leave my boyfriend secret sticky notes when I am at his place. But he has like 25 Stickies up at the same time all messy on his desktop. I don't know if he ever finds mine, haha!!

  15. Love those sticky notes. My computer looks something like that except they are real sticky notes. I hate it when the sticky comes off (because they are covered ith dust) and they fall off. This is a much better option. I can't wait for the kindergarten expo.

    Thanks,

  17. I love my computer sticky notes - but I didn't know you could change the colour - all mine are still yellow! Wish I knew how to them to my computer at school ... I usually come home with the real ones stuck to the bottom of my shoes. ;)

  21. I ♥ using Stickies!!
    They are always written neatly in ANY font. Colorful, opaque or translucent, and can have clipart on them!

  23. Ugh, I am so late to the party. I have to do a better job of keeping up with my blog list.

    Anyway, I have a MacBook and I do have these too. Use them all the time.

    BTW, did you know you can also change the font! I do all the time. I have different colors for different things. Like stuff I want to print is in yellow, to-do's are pink, things I want to share are in blue. Anyway you get it.

  25. Our district tech team told us a couple years ago that we should "unclutter" our desktops. I'm still annoyed about that...and I forgot about my stickies until reading your post! I better get those back out and clutter things back up until "they" come around again. :)

  28. What a great tip. Thanks! Can you tell me a little more about the blog expo? My principal has agreed to pay it for me. Here is my question...I have plans that day to be out of town with a friend. Can I check it out later at my own convenience or even break it up over a few nights? Any help would be great! Thanks so much!

  29. Thats great Sarah! Once you purchase your expo ticket, you have access to watch the presentations at your convenience! You can stop and rewind as well. The only thing that is time sensitive is the goodie bags which will expire after a set amount of days. Glad you can join us! :)

  36. Hi there!

    My name is Laura and I run the new collective blog called InspiredTeacher.net. We are working to give encouragement and inspiration to teachers. I stumbled on your teaching blog today and loved all your practical ideas!

    I just wanted to connect with you via webworld and let you know about a new thing we are doing our way called Teaching Tip Tuesday where people can link up a past post they've written giving a practical teaching tip! This post would work great! (Who doesn't love sticky notes!) We are giving away some sweet stuff over there for it, and would love to have you involved if you have a sec!

    Thanks, and I look forward to connecting with you again! The link is: http://www.inspiredteacher.net/2012/01/teaching-tips-tuesdays/

    Our plan is to run it every Tuesday, if you'd like to jump in! Have a great day!
