My Summer Bucket List Linky Party

 It's that time of year again! Woohoo! Last year, April {A Modern Teacher}, Teri {A Cupcake for the Teacher} and I thought it would be fun to have a party to celebrate summer, and boy was it fun! We met so many new bloggers and found some really awesome lists! So we're having a bucket list party again! Do you have a bucket list?? Thanks to Pinterest...I sure do! Here are some fun things I'm planning on doing this summer!

I may or may not have had this project on my summer bucket list for the past two years...but I WILL get it done this summer! {I have a strong feeling chevron will be involved!}

I just pinned this a couple of days ago and I'm kind of obsessed!! It's a magnetic document holder and it's way too cute!

These also have been on my to do list for way too long, but a good excuse to buy crayons when they're on sale for super cheap over the summer!

Visit New York and Las Vegas!

Use up all my Starbucks giftcards!

And of course, SLEEP!!!!

Collecting Shells & Building a Sandcastle {classroom management idea}

Five more weeks until summer vacation begins! If your class is anything like mine, you need to spice up the classroom management bit a little! So you can only imagine how excited I was when I walked by my cute little beach buckets I purchased for super cheap at Michaels and an *awesome* classroom management idea popped into my head!

{aren't they cute!? I am obsessed with the colors!}

And these buckets turned into this!
Collecting Shells...
and building a sandcastle!
{I used my little school is cool craft to cutesify it up a little but you def don't need her for this to work!}

Here's what you need to get started:
 *Free Collecting Shells & Building a Sandcastle download from TpT
*cute paper
*mod podge {if your magnets are not sticky}
*beach buckets

First I printed out the shells, bucket {on cute scrapbook paper of course}, and sandcastle pieces.

I decided to up-cycle this little advertisement magnet and use it to adhere to the back of my shells.
{I wonder if companies know their advertisement budget is used toward helping students all over the world ;)}
I cut the magnet up into little pieces and glued it onto the back of the shells with my handy dandy mod podge!

I am going to hang the bucket and the shells up on my whiteboard at school. I'm going to tell my students that they can collect shells by showing great classroom behavior.

When they collect 10 shells, they earn a piece of the sand castle!
I stored the extra sandcastle pieces in the beach bucket.

The goal is to build the entire sand castle to earn their prize!

This idea can definitely be modified to fit the needs of your class! You don't have to use the two ideas together, they can be used as two separate tools! You can also have a bucket or a sandcastle for each table group if you don't want this to be a whole group management tool. Whatever works best for you!

Organizing Crafts

Last week, as I was doing my usual blog stalking, I saw a super neat idea for organizing crafts that Mel from Graphics from the Pond shared. She showed how she is now organizing her crafts in an A3 display book and since I had no idea what that was my first thought was "like a scrapbook?! GENIUS!!! why did I never think of that?!"

So when I was on my usual bargain shopping run, I found a scrapbook at Big Lots and it was on clearance! I'm pretty sure it was saying "hey! take me home and blog about me!" so of course I did...
{can you see that clearance sticker?? it says $3.50! score!!!}

Then I made some monthly headers to slide into each pocket {the book came with 10 inserts which is perfect because I teach for 10 months! but you can add more pockets if you need to} and added all of my crafts!

{school is cool craft}

{Christmas tree craft}
{penguin craft}

Now they're super neatly organized and easy to find, and don't take up too much space! LOVE!

And since I already made the monthly headers for myself I figured I would share them with you if you wanted to get organized too!

You can find ALL of my crafts for the year in one quick download here! It is on sale for less than $2 per craft! What a steal!
