Alphabet Practice - Miss Kindergarten

Alphabet Practice

I've been starting to plan and prep for next fall because we all know that summer goes by way to fast!
This weekend I had so much fun working on some alphabet practice pages!

Here's how they turned out!
On each page the students will hunt for lowercase and uppercase letters. Since I *love* using fun fonts in the classroom, and there are so many different types of fonts in the real world, this is a great way for my students to practice identifying letters. {shout out to Cara Carroll for making such awesome fonts!!}
They will also practice tracing and writing each upper and lower case letter. The little box on the right is called the "super star" box. That's where the super star letter goes {aka our very best handwriting!}
The very bottom is helping to identify beginning sounds which is crucial to beginning readers and writers!

I listed the file in ABC order for logistical purposes, but we don't teach the letters in alphabetical order. Houghton Mifflin does a great job of teaching letters in an order that helps to teach sight words and such.

I also spent some time updating my Easy Crafts from A-Z!
I have learned so much in the past year! Look at the difference!

This pack includes 26 easy templates allowed!
A great way to practice fine motor skills and following directions. My students and their parents absolutely adore these crafts!

Finally, my sweet friend Kristen just posted an awesome ABC unit that includes posters, cards, center games, whole group activities, play-dough mats, handwriting practice and assessments!!! I was so excited when I saw it on TpT!

This makes me so excited for the beginning of the year! {but first I must enjoy my summer break!}

All of these units are on sale for 20% off today and tomorrow! Get ahead of the game and get prepared now!

  10. Love this! What font did you use on the alphabet pages that has the tracing letters on the dotted line? The only one I found doesn't take letters to the top line, like we teach. I've been looking all over for a font like the one you used. Love, love, love all of your ideas!
