The Pigeon Needs a Bath {book giveaway!}

Every class I've ever taught has absolutely loved Mo Willem's Pigeon books, so when I was asked if I wanted a copy of Mo Willem's newest book, The Pigeon Needs a Bath, I replied with no hesitation!

About the Book & Series
The Pigeon really needs a bath! Except, the Pigeon's not so sure about that. Besides, he took a bath last month! Maybe. It's going to take some serious convincing to try and get the Pigeon to take the plunge.

My favorite thing about these books, besides the fact that my kiddos laugh hysterically the whole time we read them, is that they are the perfect introduction to dialogue and speech bubbles. Our sight word focus this theme is "said" so it also ties in perfectly!

  2. I love "The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog"…mostly because I love to "do" voices when I read, and I make the duck a high-pitched, squeaky & sweet-sounding voice as compared to the Pigeon's lower, more sarcastic voice. The kiddos go bananas:) Hoping I'm one of those very lucky winners!

  99. I love Mo Willems! Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus is my favorite. I came across a Scholastic video at TJ Maxx and I HAD to get it (well, it was very inexpensive!). I highly recommend looking for it on Amazon or Scholastic. It's great to hear him reading Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus and Knuffle Bunny. There is a portion where he is reading to some first graders in the library, and he shows you how to draw the pigeon.

  117. Although I LOVE all the Pigeon, and Elephant and Piggy books, my favorite Mo Willems Book is Hooray for Amanda and her Alligator. The story is about a little girl and her stuffed alligator. The girl in the story reminds me so much of my oldest daughter and hoe she interacts with her stuffed dinos, cats and snakes. In Amanda's mind, the alligator is alive and they are super silly together. If you have not read it yet, you really should.
