Picture Direction Icons {a plethora of colors}

I'm sort of obsessed with picture direction icons. I can't even tell you how much they have helped with my lack of patience while giving directions to my class ;)
Honestly, I think this is the best classroom management tool I've ever used in my classroom! I am such a visual person and many of my students are too, so it really eliminates lots of mistakes for my kiddos who can't remember 3-step directions {which lets face it...most of them ;)}. I adhered a little magnet strip to the back of the pictures so that as I give my students a direction verbally, I can quickly add a direction icon to the board. I *finally* got smart enough to add numbers to my icons so that I don't have to write them anymore. My kids really love them too!

I created a card for almost any direction you can imagine!

I also had several requests to create some in Spanish for those teachers who teach in a dual language class. {thank you to my Spanish speaking friends for your help with these!}

  8. I have these already and they are great! I have just one suggestion - is it crazy to add one for 'date'? I was thinking of having my kinders write the date on their papers this year.

  9. Wow. It's so good to find others who may need to practice deep-breathing while giving directions to K's. I've used icons, but these are more comprehensive and I love how clear and unifying the graphics are. I would choose the black & white set if I were lucky enough to be chosen.

  57. Some kindergarteners are timid and will not ask questions. Last year I had one student who would not speak at all. These picture cards would be wonderful for those students. That way they did not have any anxiety of asking what the next step is! I cannot believe I did not think of these last year! I really like the second set, it would go great stub my monster theme this year!!!

  71. Hi There, It's July 5th! I am not too late (I hope). I love the black and white since I am trying to go more neutral in color and make the color "POP" with the student work this year. I am moving 2.5 hours away, have not seen my class, spoken to a teacher in kinder (they were out for summer when I was hired). I am switching to Kinder after 8 years in first know I will have a high EL student ration and I AM LIMITED in spanish - very limited. I can't get in to see what my class even has or looks like until Aug. 1st and I start August 12th (it's killing me). I am a new addition not a replacement teacher so I am going to assume I have nada. Thanks so much! See you in Vegas ( I am signed up for your session)!
