I'm so very excited to share all of these awesome products with you!

Today's freebie is brought to you by the super talented Jillian from The Starr Spangled Planner
Follow Jillian's blog
Follow Jillian's TpT store
Jillian is from Boston, and is entering her eighth year as a primary inclusion teacher.  She has taught first and third grade, and will be moving to second this fall.  When Jillian is not teaching, she can usually be found doing home-improvement projects, grilling in the backyard with her husband, or rifling through the travel section of her local book shop.

Working with a very diverse group of learners pushed her to adopt a Guided Math model.   She began creating a variety of center games and activities so her students could independently practice the skills they were working on in group.   She LOVED the results!  Her students became more excited and invested in their own learning.  Even better, the center model helped create a more collaborative and supportive classroom community!

This bundle includes all sorts of games for addition and subtraction. Activities for teaching tens and ones. Math journal prompts, Math Word Walls and so much more!

Today, Jillian is offering a huge sample pack for you to try for FREE!

Try it Free Tuesday {BUILD math stations}

Thanks for stopping by week six of Try it Free Tuesday 2015!
Each Tuesday this summer, I will be featuring a product or two that you are able to try out for FREE!
The products will be available for free for one day only! Of course, you will be able to purchase them on TpT after that.

I'm so very excited to share all of these awesome products with you!

Today's freebie is brought to you by the wonderful Elizabeth Hall from Kickin' it in Kindergarten
Follow Elizabeth's blog
Follow Elizabeth's TpT store

Elizabeth is a Kindergarten teacher in Nashville, Tennessee. This will be year seven for her to teach Kindergarten. In November, she and her husband will be welcoming a baby girl, Amelia Frances. She also has a sheltie, Maggie, that might not be the biggest fan of sharing Mom and Dad. Besides teaching Kindergarten, she is a spin instructor and runner.

This year, Elizabeth started implementing BUILD in her classroom for math centers. It is not a curriculum but a great management tool to keep math station time engaging and exciting for students. It has forced her to implement small group math and students love being able to complete the stations independently.

Build is a concept that follows along the same lines as Daily 5, but for math.

B-Buddy Games
U- Using Manipulatives
I- Independent Reading
L- Learning About Numbers
D- Doing Math

Elizabeth is so graciously sharing a sample of some BUILD activities from her August math stations.

See & Stamp Math and Literacy Centers {August/September}

I'm so excited to share with you my new See & Stamp centers! I wanted to make something fun for my kiddos to use at the stamping center as well as something easy for them to use at the beginning of the year!

I cut apart the center cards and plan on sticking them in one of the many little plastic tubs I own. #hoarder
I'll have my students pick a card from the tub and then stamp their page with the corresponding stamp.

The bus center includes lowercase letters.
Pick a card...

 Find the stamp...
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

 And stamp your page!
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

The apple cards have uppercase letters. They will practice stamping the uppercase letters, but I also included a page for them to find and stamp the matching lowercase letter.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

They can also practice stamping the sight words. I don't expect my students to know and/or read this words at the beginning of the year, but it's still good letter practice. And some of my readers will actually be able to read them so that's a win :)
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

The backpacks have pictures with almost all of the alphabet sounds. They will choose a card and stamp the beginning sound on their page.

For math, we will practice number recognition. Just choose a card and find the number stamp that matches!
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

I also made cards for them to practice counting and subitizing to 6.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/See-Stamp-AugustSeptember-1968554

As well as counting dots in a tens frame.

And finally, one to one counting with apple seeds!

I found the stamps at Michaels and the set came with uppercase letters, lowercase letters and numbers! I used a 40% off coupon so it was a pretty sweet deal! You can see how I store my stamps {here}.

I also have had lots of questions about where I print my centers so I wanted to share.

I just got a new HP printer (HP Office Jet 4630). It's been wonderful so far! I also signed up for HP Instant Ink. I pay $9.99 a month to be able to print 300 pages, doesn't matter how much ink I use! When HP sees that I'm running low on ink, they send me a new black/white or color cartridge (before I even run out!!) The pages also roll over, so if I have a low printing month, I know I'll be okay the next month and nothing gets wasted! I seriously LOVE this program so I had to share with all of you!

My good friend Lauren from A Teachable Teacher has this AWESOME blog post that explains Instant Ink in detail! Check it out by clicking the image below...you won't regret it!

If you're interested in See & Stamp for August/September, you can find them in my TpT store!

If you're interested in grabbing these for the whole year, you can find my year long bundle {here}. It includes See & Stamp to keep your students engaged for every month of the year!

Organizing Centers for the Entire Year

Recently, I've been getting tons of questions about how I organize my monthly centers so I wanted to share with you! While I prep my centers, everything is always strewn about the room. But with these ideas, I am organized in no time!

Materials needed:
1" 3-ring binder with clear pouch
Storage envelopes
Sheet protectors
Plastic baggies

I slide the cover page for each month into the clear pouch of the binder to keep myself organized.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Math-Literacy-Centers-for-the-Year-MEGA-bundle-1204300

Then I put the student/parent directions in a sheet protector and the master of the recording sheet {if applicable} behind that. Usually, the students are working on these centers independently, but it's always nice to have directions out in case I do have a parent volunteer. This way I don't have to spend time explaining to them what the students are expected to do!
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Math-Literacy-Centers-for-the-Year-MEGA-bundle-1204300

I glue the teacher directions onto the front of a storage envelope and highlight any extra materials I need that I can't fit in the binder. When I quickly look at this I know all I need is the recording sheets and pencils/crayons/markers for my students to use for tracing.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Math-Literacy-Centers-for-the-Year-MEGA-bundle-1204300
Inside the storage envelope are all the center pieces neatly kept in a plastic baggie.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Math-Literacy-Centers-for-the-Year-MEGA-bundle-1204300
This makes it really easy for me to set up centers and everything has a place when it's time to put the centers away whenever I get to it at the end of the month!

You can read more about these Back to School centers {here}. You can also see all the centers I've created for the entire year {here}. The MEGA BUNDLE is on sale 40% off through Friday, Aug 11!

You can also find FIRST GRADE centers for the year in my shop!

I also had a sweet reader create a table of contents that organize the skills included in ALL of my monthly centers! I am so thankful that she took the time to do that and even allowed me to share with all of you! This will be a quicker and easier way to find the skills you are looking for each month! Thanks Sarah!!!

Tara lives and teaches in a small Missouri town.  This will be her sixth year teaching Kindergarten.  Her heart truly is for her sweet, little Kindergartners!  They have a love for school, learning new things, and most importantly...their teacher!  This past year she started doing close reads during her whole-class reader's workshop time.  After the first week she knew she had found something great!  Every week the kids would get SO excited for the latest close read, and honestly they never tired of looking at the same book for the week... it was actually fun for them!
Since starting close reads two years ago she recently transformed these close reads into a comprehensive literacy curriculum called, KinderLiteracy! She is really passionate about close reading {KinderLiteracy} and really excited to share all about it today!
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/KinderLiteracy-Units-BUNDLED-1934783

KinderLiteracy units are based upon the close read model. Each week you will focus on one text and each day look closely at that text. KinderLiteracy is a 35 week literacy curriculum It will be suggested that you bring in another text for comparison each week as well. The units have been completely planned out for you, but with the ability for you to have them meet your individual needs.
