Rhyming Pumpkins!

Last week, as I was prepping centers for the week, I pulled out my fun rhyming center from my Fall Math & Literacy Centers
http://www.miss-kindergarten.com/2013/09/fall-math-and-literacy-centers.html

The scarecrow reminded me of the cute little scarecrow I found at the 99 cent store the previous weekend and then I got this brilliant idea!
Anything larger than life is a huge hit in kindergarten so as you can imagine, this whole group activity was a lot of fun! I clipped a pumpkin onto the scarecrow's left side and we worked together to figure out which pumpkin rhymed with it. Rhyming is such an important skill to build phonemic awareness and we work on it a lot! Then my kiddos took turns coming up and clipping the pumpkin on. Those mini clips are perfect for building our fine motor muscles!

You can download and print these little pumpkins to use in your classroom by clicking the image below! Enjoy!

Rocksbox Jewelry!

I am so excited to share my very first Rocksbox with you guys! Rocksbox is a monthly membership that allows you to wear unlimited new pieces of designer jewelry and try it before you buy it! If you find the jewelry is not for you, you simply send it back and let your personal stylist know why the jewelry didn't work for you. And if you love it, you can buy it at a discounted price! How fun is that!? You can learn more about Rocksbox here.

Now for the fun stuff! My first Rocksbox!
Who wouldn't want to open this!?

I filled out my style survey and made a wishlist of my favorite pieces. My stylist, Lisa, sent me my first three pieces in literally three days! I was so excited to open my box and see what was inside! {sidenote: you can sign into your account and see what shipment is coming your way but I embarrassingly typed my email in wrong when I signed up so I couldn't login! But it all worked out because the surprise turned out to be more fun ;)}

In my first box, I was so excited to receive this beautiful Kendra Scott black drusy necklace. I have been wanting a necklace like this for so long so I was really excited to get it!

It is the absolute perfect length for me. I don't like when my necklaces are hidden by my clothes! {You can also see the next piece of jewelry I received!}

This gorgeous arrow ring from House of Harlow which complements my x-ring that my husband gave me for my birthday just perfectly!

The last piece I received are these beautiful silver studs from Sophie Harper. I love that they are super light weight because nothing bugs me more than heavy earrings that I have to take off in the middle of the day!

I am loving all my new jewelry and excited that I get to try them out for free, but I'm already learning toward buying them all so that I can get my next box ;)

I'm also excited to share that you too can try out your first Rocksbox for free too! Just visit Rocksbox and enter my special code misskindergartenxoxo at checkout for a free month of jewelry to try! This will sign you up for a membership {$19/month after your first free month} but of course you can cancel whenever you want! Click here and enter the code to sign up!
https://www.rocksbox.com/

If you sign up, let me know! I'd love to see what jewelry you get and add it to my ever-growing wishlist ;)

My bestie Lauren from A Teachable Teacher is also sharing her first Rocksbox! Visit her blog to see the pretty pieces she received!
